External service clarity
How supported SMS gateways are used.
The plugin connects only to the SMS gateway provider selected by the site administrator. ForthFocus SMS Plugin does not send analytics, telemetry, tracking events or call-home data to ForthFocus.
SMS sending
When an SMS is triggered, the plugin sends the recipient phone number, sender ID or mask, message content, DLT details where applicable and the required gateway credentials to the selected provider.
Balance check
When balance is checked, the plugin sends the configured credentials to the selected provider only where that provider supports account balance retrieval.
OTP stays inside plugin
For Gupshup, the plugin uses the SMS API for delivery only. OTP generation, expiry, retry limits and verification are handled inside ForthFocus SMS Plugin.

Does this plugin provide SMS credits?
No. ForthFocus provides the plugin software. SMS credits, telecom delivery, gateway accounts, sender ID approval, DLT approvals and delivery conditions are handled by the configured third-party SMS gateway provider.
Does it support Indian DLT?
Yes. The plugin includes workflow support for sender ID, Entity ID and DLT Template IDs for Indian transactional SMS use cases. Some gateways may also require or support provider-side DLT mapping.
Where does OTP verification appear?
OTP verification can be used for login, registration, cart and checkout workflows. At checkout, verification happens before order placement.
Which SMS gateways are supported?
The plugin currently supports SMSGatewayHub, ForthFocus SMS Gateway and Gupshup. Balance checks are available where supported by the configured gateway.
Can I use my Gupshup Enterprise SMS account?
Yes. You can configure Gupshup using API User ID and API Password based credentials for SMS delivery.
Does ForthFocus generate or verify OTP through Gupshup?
No. Gupshup is used only for SMS delivery. OTP generation, expiry, retry limits and verification remain inside the ForthFocus SMS Plugin.
Does the plugin track users?
No. The plugin does not send analytics, telemetry, tracking events or call-home data to ForthFocus.
