News Next is the most trusted online web portal in India. News Next was launched on January 17th 2020, has been able to reach millions of readers in a short period of time. News Next has news portals in English, Kannada and Tamil languages. They are planning to launch in Hindi, Malayalam, Telegu and Gujarathi shortly.

Objective:
Change to a reliable server that can handle a lot of traffic and sudden increases in demand. They were at the time hosted by a well-known VPS hosting service, but there was constant downtime whenever the traffic increased.

Challenge:
It is a multilingual website that offers news in Tamil, English, and Kannda with the appropriate subdomains. The whole size of the site was above 200 GB, and there was already a huge amount of daily traffic. Most web development companies were hesitant to take on the difficult issue of migrating such massive amounts of data without any downtime.

Strategy / Solution:
We moved the website to AWS EC2, created three distinct instances for each of the three languages to lessen the burden on a single server, and integrated CloudFlare CDN to improve page loading times and reduce bandwidth usage.

Results:
No incidents of outage occurred following the move. Additionally, there were times when the site functioned flawlessly even with between 1,00,000 and 2,00,000 real-time visitors. A record-breaking 6,00,000 visits in a single day were also attained without any downtime.
